      Used to/ Be ised to / Get used to

1 Used to

รูปปฏิเสธ: subject + didn’t + use to be. เช่น

– I didn’t use to like wine, but now I love it.

รูปคำถาม: did(n’t) + subject + use to be. เช่น

– Did(n’t) he use to work in your office?

วิธีการใช้: ใช้กับนิสัยหรือสถานะต่างๆ ในอดีต เช่น เคยทำอะไรบางอย่างมาช่วงหนึ่ง แต่ไม่ได้ทำอีกต่อไป หรือสถานะที่เคยมีในอดีตแต่ปัจจุบันไม่มีแล้ว เป็นต้น

โครงสร้างประโยค: Used to + คำกริยา ต่างๆ รวมถึง stative verbs เช่น have, believe know และ like เป็นต้น

ตัวอย่าง:

– We used to live there when I was a child.

– I used to walk to school every day when I was a child.

– I used to like The Beatles, but now I never listen to them.

Get used to

 

2 Get used to

รูปปฏิเสธ: Not get used to / didn’t get used to

วิธีการใช้: ใช้เมื่อเคยชินหรือคุ้นเคยกับบางสิ่ง และเห็นว่าสิ่งนั้นไม่ใช่เรื่องแปลกหรือผิดปกติอีกต่อไป โดยส่วนมากมักใช้เมื่อได้ผ่านขั้นตอนที่เริ่มจะเคยชินกับสิ่งๆ นั้นแล้ว

โครงสร้างประโยค:

– Get used to + บางสิ่ง / บางคน

– Get used to + คำกริยา (แบบเติม -ing)

ตัวอย่าง:

– I got used to his Scottish accent after a while.

– I got used to waking up early in the morning.

– After a while he didn’t mind the noise in the office; he got used to it.

be use to

        Used to/ Be used to / Get used to

3 Be used to

รูปปฏิเสธ: Be not used to เช่น

– I don’t think Tom’s strange – I’m used to him.I don’t understand him: I’m not used to his accent yet.

วิธีการใช้: ใช้กับสิ่งที่คุ้นเคยเป็นอย่างดี ไม่ใช่เรื่องยากหรือเรื่องแปลกใหม่อะไร สามารถใช้ได้ทั้งกับคน, สัตว์, สิ่งของ หรือ กิจวัตรประจำวัน เป็นต้น

โครงสร้างประโยค: Be used to + นามวลีหรือคำกริยา (แบบเติม -ing)

ตัวอย่าง:

– I am used to getting up early in the morning. I don’t mind it.

– He didn’t complain about the neighbours’ loud party – he was used to the noise.
